National Aviation Day Display

It’s the early years of the 1930’s; you’re visiting Gravesend Airport for the first time, clutching the 10/- flight ticket you won in the ‘Reporter’ ballot – what will that get you? Maybe a flight in Sir Alan Cobham’s Airspeed “Ferry”; perhaps aerobatics in Captain Phillip’s Sidley-Avro – or maybe even as a passenger in the “Three Aces” air race? Whatever it is; in just a few years, the concept of flying for ‘fun’ will have become a distant dream. However, thanks to the late Ron Neudegg, we can have a glimpse of what we would have seen, had we been there. But unfortunately, we cannot provide the ‘Eldorado’ ice cream…
